Sydney-based ANKA Film is a boutique production house merging two decades of international discipline with a singular passion for authentic cinematic language to create unique cinema shaped by contemporary relevance and niche artistic mastery.
For ANKA Film, cinema is not merely a business; it is the art of leaving a profound mark on the audience. Our strategy is driven by the ambition to craft enduring works defined by a strong artistic persona and a distinctive creative soul.
This singular focus leads us to develop character-driven explorations that resonate globally. We champion niche projects that prioritise experimental narratives and artistic freedom over commercial predictability.
We blend our technical expertise from Türkiye and Europe with Australia’s creative energy, ensuring the artistic integrity and originality of every production while bringing passion-fuelled visions to life.
Sydney-based producer Levent Yıldırım brings 20 years of global experience to high‑concept co‑productions, blending commercial strategy with a boutique collaborative approach to deliver visionary, authentic international cinema.
The defining phase of his career began in Türkiye, where he played a key role in landmark productions such as Elveda Rumeli and Behzat Ç. As a Line Producer on these high‑volume, high‑pressure series, he oversaw the operational execution of hundreds of episodes, demonstrating his ability to build sustainable production systems under demanding conditions. He later expanded this expertise into the international arena, leading co‑productions with major European broadcasters including ZDF and RTL Germany (Schlaflos in Istanbul, 2014). His work on major Turkish features such as Aşk Kırmızı (2013) and the box‑office hit Behzat Ç.: Seni Kalbime Gömdüm (2011) further solidified his reputation for managing complex productions with precision and clarity.
In late 2022, Yıldırım founded ANKA Film in Sydney to develop original, globally focused feature film projects. His recent slate is supported by a strong festival presence: the Australia–Türkiye co‑production Sleeping Beauties (2023) was selected for Clermont‑Ferrand Market Picks and won three AWFF awards, followed by The Disconnected (2024), an Official Selection at both the Sydney Film Festival and Flickerfest.
Most recently, his latest short film Cinderella (2026) entered post‑production, continuing his momentum in the international market. Yıldırım is committed to developing original works with a strong artistic identity, leveraging his extensive experience to lead complex global productions with sharp clarity, a boutique collaborative focus, and unwavering authenticity.
